Fundraising on the occasion of the exhibition Azzedine Alaïa. Couture/Sculpture
Galleria Borghese, 10 July 2015
The Couture Sculpture event took place at Galleria Borghese on the occasion of the opening of the Azzedine Alaïa exhibition. The preview visit was followed by a seated dinner attended, in addition to the institutions, by many international guests and important representatives of the worlds of culture, art and fashion.
The Association had the opportunity to carry out its annual fundraising activity within this prestigious initiative, entirely supported by Azzedine Alaïa, who generously made allocated half of the available tables to the Mecenati.
The fundraising was initially dedicated to the creation of a project for the technological renewal of the thermo-hygrometric and microclimatic regulation system, to ensure maximum protection for the works preserved in the Museum.
Subsequently, at the explicit request of the Direction of Galleria Borghese and with the approval of the Mecenati Board of Directors, the funds were redirected to the restoration and maintenance project for the Secret Garden of Tramontana (or Uccelliera) and to the maintenance and extraordinary interventions of the Secret Garden of the Meridiana and the Parterre Garden.
The funds raised net of expenses amount to approximately 90,000 euro.
